It's not $1.00 right now.

Legend costs just $0.80.

Eighty US cents.

Presumably that's over Christmas. Still ... 8)

More liking, Mongoose is taking a part in the Winter Offensive sale.. which is 20% off titles in it. Its a good time to stock up on PDFs.

I have just downloaded the updated (and expanded) Monsters of Legend and the issue with the last page has now gone, probably because the back cover (as well as the front cover) is no longer included in the PDF

Re downloaded both books and the WR ones (just in case) they're all fixed now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad Mongoose re-released MoL to include the chaotic features table and I'm not complaining but... it would have been nice to include the summoning rules for demons and how to stat them up as well.

I'm an avid rpger (need to find or set up a group in Wiltshire as Ive moved from Essex where I played regularly with Seaxe!).

Never played RQ/II though...but saw Legend for $1 / 64p on DriveThruRPG and had to buy it!

So far Im still generating a test-bed character (am up to choosing my common magic spells) so have not read all the book or background yet! But I like the gen system so far The example running thru the text is appreciated a lot.

The pdf opened and viewed fine in Adobe Reader X for me however I could NOT print the file until I printed without the first and last page from the print queue. I havn't attempted printing the front page on its own yet (a lot of black ink needed! can we have a reversed version of black on white??)

I will try one of the other pdf readers suggested as adobe x always gives problems and needs reinstalling regularly.

[edit] - in addition id also like a greater breakdown of the bookmarks within the pdf - just the chapters is not enough! Thanks

The spirit magic free pdf is welcome! At some point I can hopefully buy the book versions of Legend. cant afford the monsters pdf atm tho.

If you have any questions, you'll find plenty of lively discussion here on most topics! The authors, even though they've moved to their own company (splitters!), are very helpful and visit the forums regularly with sage advice and input.

So I took the plunge and bought the core rulebook in hardcopy form from an actual FLGS today. I thought I'd keep the dead trees book until Sunday as my little gift to myself. Nice little investment, if I say so myself.
