Now I've never made an app before.

But I'm thinking of cutting my teeth on a character creation app for Legend.

It could be a complete and utter failure, I don't know yet.

However does anyone have any tips/idea/suggestions/requests/viewpoints...?

Instead of an app, have you thought about doing it as an excel or pdf document? Portability of an excel/pdf document would be a lot better. I would also be easier to develop as you wouldn't need to concern yourself with UI elements, only with the logic.

You might want to run it by Matt at Mongoose first. I'm not sure what the OGL has to say about computer programs. The Traveller OGL specifically forbids them.

I checked the OGL (which I have to say is pretty naff!) and there's no mention of phone/computer programs at all.

Basically all it says is that all paragraph texts is free to copy/use but all images, character descriptions and tables are copyrighted.

I'm unlikely to get anywhere with this any time soon anyway...or even at all...lol

The idea of an app is great, as long as you can export of course :wink:

A character sheet as an APP would be really useful.

Different tabs for skills/spells/equipment etc

Anyone who can make a chargen app for Legend, with an export to text function would cut my Legend dev times in half more books then!
