Mongoose
Seriously though, I am going to try and I'm seeking advice on another thread here http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=46767

Though I'm sure some of you will want to take the mick, please keep that on this thread and only put useful advice on the other one

:)

Thanks

Yeah, I was wondering about that.....you have the reputation for playing non-painted.

Now I'll have to get on mine right away too, don't want to look bad by not following suit.

Kudos for the effort.

Only reason he is doing it is that painted minis are required for the tourney at Mongoose.

Not really, but when I made the decision to get my MegaDeal I said "I AM painting these"

This is the 6th dedicated minis game I have minis for, not counting some RPG minis, I'll be damned if I'm not painting something, even if it ends up looking crap, if it does I'll buy another fleet box and do better next time.

But at least they will be mine and painted.

I'm already wondering what Hawkwood would look like in red trim.

Time is the problem before the tournament, I have almost no spare hours between now and then, I have an arrangement to borrow a fleet should I need it, but hope not to have too.

My wife imposed a rule on me: In order to introduce a new minis game to the apartment, I have to get rid of another one.

In exchange for the MegaDeal, I'm ditching WarMachine (and Hordes). Neither of which has seen the table in over a year, so I really won't miss them.

Looking at my paints, at least one of my fleets will be done in purple. Possibly more than one, as my wife will (hopefully) help me with the painting - and purple is her favorite color.

We're going to play a few games to figure out which Fleet she likes best before we decide which fleet gets the purple treatment.
