/lament: My shadow fleet is hiding...

Right, so I got my Shadow fleet and decided that with this being my University's dead week and all, this would be a perfect time to build my shadow ships. I'll just go and get them off of my desk and... where are they?

Yep, I ordered a rather full Shadow fleet and only one Shadow Ship is accounted for. Now here is where I need help: If you were a Shadow Ship or a Shadow Scout, and you couldn't return to Z'ha Dum... and in fact the whole universe as you know it is limited to something like an apartment... where would you hide?

lol, ridiculous yes but still true. Wheres Morden when one needs him eh?

They're hiding in the last place you'll look for them... I hope...
Of course they are, he's not going to find them then look in any more places, is he?!?!

I say they're in an asteoid field, regenerating. Thats where they normally sit ;)

You have an asteroid field in your apartment? The best I can manage is that it sometimes looks as though an asteroid has hit it.

Prime the shadow ships b4 you put them together
And if you want them to look more accurate, bend the spines of the mid and lower sections to curve down - see here for reference.

The big ships are easy. If you have a week clear, and if you can find them, concentrate on building the much harder scouts - you can practically do the a big ship as a distraction while you're waiting for one of the scout's spines to set in place!

Meanwhile, back to the original question: if the rest of the fleet haven't just scuttled off to lurk behind the desk, they're probably hiding in their box somewhere. Or behind the sofa or comfy chair, which is where most lost things like to hide.

LOL, this made my day reading :)

Shadow agent looks at the mouse..."What do you want?"

Mouse looks back..."For you to get off my frakkin tail!!"

instead of asking yourself "where are my shadows?" what you SHOULD be asking yourself is

What do I want?

Wouldn't the answer to that just be 'I want to know where my shadows are'

of course, if the shadows were there to ask him what he wanted, he would know where they were and thus not want to know where they were, since they are there asking him

Unless they send him a letter:

"You may already be a Shadow! You just have to mail your response to the following question in the included envelope to an address unknown to you and await notification that we selected your response from all others at a drawing on a date to be determined.

The question: 'What do you want?'"

They are probably in the same place that odd socks or cheap sunglasses go when you lose them. I've lost a whole Dark Elf MOW fleet and still can't find them. :/

you mean "expensive sunglasses"
Cheapos always come back...

Naw. Only trendy jokers buy expensive ones. It's the cheap ones that get lost..making you buy yet another pair and having to waste time finding a cheap pair that doesn't make you look like one of the Blues Brothers

I wanted to get some transition glasses, but realized they would never work for me because I wear my sunglasses at night

Yeah. They are kind of nice, but after a while they seem to be semi dark all the time. Too dark for night time, not quite dark enough for the day. I just have a pair of prescription sunglasses for bright days. Not cheap, not flashy, expensive glasses but they do seem to disappear from time to time.
