Kickstarter - Complete and Thank You!

I imagine there are various reasons why poor quality can occur. Even the temperature of the mould (so I've heard). It all comes down to the skill of the guy doing it. Quality shouldn't really be an issue, as you just re-melt duff ones down again. Damage can occur to moulds, but that's down to a sharp eye. For me, quality is a big issue.

Another stretch goal fell this morning - thank you for your support in that. The Judges of the World set will now be added to the range, bringing a distinctly international flavour to the game!

Next up is a stretch goal for characters from the Doomsday for Mega-City One storyline, including two Assassin Droids, Nero himself, and Chief Judge Hershey. We have added Hershey to several of the pledge levels now, so many more people will be able to enjoy what will be a great looking miniature (graphics for the pledge levels will be updated on Monday).

Sandrine is unfortunately ill again today, so I cannot showcase what she is currently working on - that will come next week. So, instead, I will reveal the next stretch goal, one that (with your continued support) will bring some of the worst and most notable villains to bring disaster to citizens of Mega-City One.

It is a great line up; Warmarshal Kazan, Blanche Tatum (as the Executioner, many of you have been asking for an alternative to Megaman for the Lone Vigilante!), Rico Dredd (fresh from Titan!), Sabbat, the Judge Child, Oola Blint (now that will be a fine looking miniature!), Kenny Who?, Chopper (as the Midnight Surfer) and Stan Lee.

These models will be added to the Sector Chief and Chief Judge levels, but the Street Judge and Wally Squad levels will get their choice of any one of these miniatures, while the Council of Judges level will get a choice of three!

I'll be about to answer comments over the weekend, though there won't be a formal update until Monday afternoon. I'll be spending the weekend working on the final updates to the Judge Dredd miniatures game rulebook (constantly fiddling with games is a Games Designer's disease!), and adding more material to Block War. You will be able to download the results to both of these, for free, next week.

Well, the Judge Dredd Miniatures Games is going to be my Sci-Fi miniatures game "of choice" - after reading the Block War supplement (and thoroughly enjoying it), I've decided to support the Block War Kick Starter.

I've only "dipped my toe in" with this one, mostly because I don't have the spare cash atm (no surprise there LoL).

So I've gone for the "Street Judge" Level (plus an extra $20 for the Brit-Cit Judges) - as I have quite a bit of the older stuff, so I'm adding to/expanding my collection ready for action as 'twer.

I'm so glad its gone so very well!

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere but will the kick starter minis be available to the general public after sometime has passed? Finances prevent me from pledging as much as I would like and all of them look very good.

Apparently they will all be made available through Mongoose - supporting the kickstarter helps to get them into production quicker (and at the higher levels there are some great bargains!)

Ditto - If it had started later, and perhaps finished at the end of November/Start of December I would have been in a financially stronger position and would have gone for one of the "biggie" pledges.

Still, at least I've helped a little - and will be taking advantage of the free Shipping at the Mongoose store later on ;)

I should think you can normally expect the company running the KS project to announce which minis (from none to all) are to be exclusive to those pledging.

Another stretch goal has just been past - thank you all very much for your support thus far. Nero and his assassin robots will soon be making an appearence in Mega-City One!

A few things for you in this update...

Sandrine remains ill (nothing too serious, just debilitating), and so some of the vehicles and other accessories I was hoping to show you by now will have to wait a little longer.

However, this does mean we are going ahead with the next stretch goal, and it is for something we know a lot of you have been after - the Mechanismo robots! We will be creating four of these monsters/earnest Law enforcers (depends on your point of view!), covering the Mk I, MK II and Mk IIa variants. Even if you won't allow them on the streets of Mega-City One, they are just perfect for risky missions in the Cursed Earth, Undercity, or alien worlds!

We have also managed to update the Block War supplement. You can grab it here as normal...

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/pdf/jdblockwar.pdf

...and you will find some new weaponry, new Mercenaries, and a whole new force - we are showcasing the East Meg Invasion Force for the first time! A perfect foe for both the Justice Department and the Citi-Def (and any punk who objects to invaders on his turf, for that matter...).

We have quite a few things lined up for you this week, including the last update (it really will be the last this time!) of the main rulebook. Could not resist just a few tweaks here and there, and you are going to like what we have done with Talents!

So, stay tuned, and keep an eye out for these updates, as we will have a few surprises and 'cool things' for you!

I'm not sure if it just a matter of timing, but the locked images for the Lawbreakers and Mechanismos are in the higher pledges but nothing shows for the Council of Judges pledge where, as i undertsnad it, there wil be (when we hit those stretches) a choice of 3 of the Lawbreakers and then a choice of one of the Mechanismos...

We have been beavering away on the Judge Dredd miniatures game and Block War today. Most notably, we now have working rules for BIG battles in Dredd and, better than that, specific scenarios to handle Block Wars (up to three players, with a normal force caught between two rival blocks!), last stands in the Cursed Earth, and the Zombie Apocalypse!

We are doing a few more updates to Block War, but you will see all of these a little later in the week.

Second, we have added a new pledge level - Troggie! This is a $4 pledge, but gives you any one model of your choice from the current Judge Dredd range, so you can round out your collection. You can see the list of available models at;

http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/pdf/jdsingles.pdf

You can, of course, pledge for more than one model, or add to your existing pledge if there are specific models you are after - simply add $4 for each extra model!

Finally, we have added the Weapon Packs to various pledge levels - these are collections of 4-6 weapons from the game that you can snip off and add to existing models, allowing you to customise them as you see fit. Street Judges will get one random weapon pack, Wally Squads and Council of Judges three, and Sector Chiefs and Chief Judges five - no stretch goals to meet, we just wanted to add these as a token of our appreciation for your support thus far!

We are so tantalisingly close to seeing the ultimate Lawbreakers stretch goal added to Mega-City One!

Just a quick update today.

The Block War supplement itself has been updated, with new rules and scenarios covering what the supplement is really all about - Block Wars!

Actually, the rules for Mobs we have added can be used in a whole range of games, from your normal campaign battles (if you have enough Minions), to last stands in the Cursed Earth, brave defences against hordes of zombies and, well, block wars! In fact, if you really want to go mad, we have made provision for two blocks to go at one another, with another force (we suggest judges!) caught in the middle.

Good luck with that one!

You can download the latest version of Block War from;

I pledged on kickstarter and I have a question...If I pledge more then my reward amount will the extra pledge give me another reward selection?

Short answer, yes.

If you pledge enough to cover multiple rewards then you get multiple rewards. This will all be sorted out with the survey after the drive ends. There are a few comments from Matt to that effect on the KS updates.

Thanks chaoschild!

4 days to go and looking likely it will hit the $60k target - are there going to be any stretches above $60 to encourage a surge towards the end?

I was going to ask this as well.

I'll pledge Council of judges as my exploration through my lead pile hasn't turned up complete gangs from the existing range like I thought it would (I just have the cursed earth gang, lots of mercs, a judge set and half the robot squad). Just waiting for a cheque someone owes me before pledging.

We are now in the last few days of the Judge Dredd: Block War Kickstarter - thank you for all your support thus far.

There are a few goodies to be revealed this week, as we have been busy beavering away on the new models this month, and first to be unveiled are the boys from the Citi-Def Squad.

Sculptor Stepehn May (the gentleman behind the recent Brit-Cit Judges) has worked on these eight models, which form a new force in the Judge Dredd miniatures game (you can see them already in the Block War supplement) and a forthcoming box set. Those pledging for this Kickstarter will be the first to get their hands on them (along with a lot of other models!).

The set contains two Citi-Def Soldiers, armed with Spit Guns - these are real Judge-killers, but players will soon find these part-time soldiers do not really know the meaning of 'cease fire!' For that, you will be needing a Citi-Def Officer, to the right of the two soldiers, a citizen of Mega-City One whose tactics revolve primarily around shouting! Next to him, the soldier with the Missile Launcher tends to be a bit more disciplined, but then we move to the bottom row and the complete opposite - the Citi-Def Soldier on the far left has watched way too many action vids, and is blazing away with a Spit Pistol in each hand!

Next to him is the Jaeger Squad Commando, a truly dedicated member of the Citi-Def, who is either incredibly skilled and well-trained, or just plain crazy. It all depends on your point of view.

The Medic is a useful chap, though he does not really appreciate all the heavy weaponry he is surrounded by. This model shows him under fire, wondering just why he signed up for the Citi-Def as an alternative to boredom! Finally, we have the second Heavy Weapons Soldier, armed here with a Laser Cannon but coming with the option of a Heavy Spit Gun.

All are ready to defend Mega-City One (or just their own block) against an attacker, and all are capable of doing far more damage to the city than any invading force...

You can still get involved with the Judge Dredd: Block War Kickstarter at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1990654819/judge-dredd-miniatures-game-block-war

The Medic and Jeager are fantastic sculpts. I'm not so enamored of the "spit gun" troops....the top and bottom ones on the left are in fairly improbable shooting positions.
