We have just started the Judge Dredd: Block War Kickstarter, and we have lots of exciting projects on display for Dredd fans and gamers alike.

The Judge Dredd miniatures game features a completely free to download rulebook and has been running with the support of its fans for two years now. It is a 28mm skirmish-level science fiction miniatures game based on the iconic 2000AD comic strip where players take a force or faction from Mega-City One and prepare to do battle on the streets! Full campaign rules are integrated into the game, and feature a system whereby weaker forces are never at a disadvantage – even a lowly gang of street punks can take on Judge Dredd and his cohorts if you have enough reinforcements!

You can find the fully details at;

I don't get it, can you not buy multiple levels? I would like a couple of lawmasters, a couple of Mantas and the Brit-Cit judges but seem to only be able to get one pledge level which, to speak American, 'sucks'.

Also, would be good to get more detail on how our suggestions can lead to the models we would like. How much do you have to raise for you to do a Patwagon for example?

Fantastic Brit-cit judges BTW.

Im in for a Manta (I have all of the existing stuff already). I am looking forward to it :)

I plan to pick up the Brit Cit "squad" too if possible. Hopefully I can just add $20 to the pledge at a later date to get them.

It looks like I am going to have to shell out for Walter too...

You can - you can choose the amount you pledge, so if you select one level and add the additional amount for anorther, we will sort it all out with you at the end of the process.

Well, we have lots of ideas of things we can add as stretch goals, but we would like this to be player led, so _you_ guys choose what models come next. Shall I put you down as voting for a Pat Wagon? :)

Without being facetious, put me down for a Catch Wagon, a Meat Wagon, a Med Wagon and a Riot Wagon....

Is there a way to link a poll to the Kickstarter so that backers can vote on their preferences?

I was planning on courting opinion both here and on Kickstarter's own comments page.

Variant Pat Wagons, eh? I like it!

Normally there is one or two level that will receive all the stretch goals.

To me it is not apparent other than the CoJk, which levels these are? Can we get a hint so I know where to dump my cash.

Council of Judges level is the one - all going well, there will be an awful lot of miniatures in that deal.

Council of Judges just says you get the 10 boxes and walter if £3,000 is raised

Chief judge gives you all the models released in 2012 & 2013, plus everything thats already out

i'd say thats the one to go for

CoJ it is,

Good thinking on that one man!

The second stretch goal has been passed! Many thanks for your support in this, it really is allowing Judge Dredd to be the miniatures game we always knew it could be. Two new forces are now being added, the Zombe Horde and Citi-Def Squad. The Justice Department will also soon be taking delivery of some brand new Electro-Cordons, perfect for keeping massed zombies and crazy Citi-Def at bay!

Next up will be the Dark Judges, and villains don't get any worse than these four guys. Check out our Update on Kickstarter, coming a little later today, as we will be courting opinion on which models should appear as stretch goals next - the Judge Dredd miniatures game has always had a great deal of player input and the Kickstarter programme allows us to apply this input to the miniatures themselves.

Stay tuned, you will find the update at http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1990654819/judge-dredd-miniatures-game-block-war

Wow, didn't expect the numbers to be so good so soon.

One small criticism is that you should always have a stretch goal in hand so that new pledgers are motivated to join. Having said that the figures are rising steadily so what do I know.....

hmm the seeing the stretch goals seem to be getting to ambitious to quick.
+1000 for walter
+3000 for zombie
+4000 for Death and co.

Don't get me wrong we've made the marks in only 3 days, just the inflation seems a bit much.

Of course it could just be me and the prices are warranted due to commission costs and molding etc.

Guess really this post was just me speaking my mind. thanks.

When does money actually go out for these things? When the game goes to market or does the pledge either take the cash then or hold the money in escrow somehow?

Credit Cards are charged at the end of a Kickstarter, if it is successfully funded.
