ISA Fleet sugestions

The command bonus is nice on the Tara'Lin. Maybe in some scenarios the all-round firepower would be good. Shials rather than Nials... well, useless, Nial is a better fighter. Overall I'd say an allied Sharlin is a much better buy.

When fighting Shadows, the all round firepower is very useful.

I seriously recommend at least the old Fleet Box if you can get it. 10 White Stars in the one box. Then get the new box as well for a bigger, more rounded fleet.

Yes; however a normal Sharlin can always get either its front or aft arcs onto any one particular target. If you're afrift, or shooting at multiple targets, then yes all round firepower is an advantage. But the Shadows will undoubtedly get into your weakest arc... I'd rather have 6AD than 2AD.

Thanks for all the nice input everyone. Right now I am painting up the WS gunships. I already got the Carrier done. I think when I get close to finishing I will start to order some more. White stars are must and more fighters. I want to be able to get them painted as they come in and not just having them setting in the box.

1 * WS Gunship
1 * WS Carrier
20 WSC-L Fighters
and enough Nials and Fury/Tbolts to fill the VCDs and WS

I'm going to round it out if I ever start painting them.

If you know anyone else looking to start an ISA fleet, you can always split the old box with them. 1 Victory will usually be enough and 1 new fleet box + 1/2 and old fleet box will you 9 White Stars as well plus lots of smaller stuff. Add a WS Carrier and you should be good to go.

The new ISA list looks very good as it has competative choices at pretty much all PLs (the Gunship is a bit weak at battle but you can always take 2 WS2s). The only real weakness is the generally low hull and crew scores but against most opponents the dodge and AA will ensure they are tough enough.

Like I always say, I'd definitely never build a fleet if I didn't have any minis, at least this way there's a slight chance.
