Is GoMC1 will stop to have figures too?

Mongoose
Would it be possible to have a confirmation from a staff member to know if the end of line of miniatures production is just for B5:ACTA or is it affecting all mongoose miniatures games, gangs of Mega-City being the case here? I would really like to have an answer as I'm trying to bring some friends into the game and well.... it will be harder if there is no official mini for it!

There is a bright side - of all the miniatures lines we have, Judge Dredd is the most likely to be brought back.

Just got to wait for those films. . .

That's terrible. Not happy about this.

I sympathise - I know it's dismaying to see a game you love get set to one side, but Mongoose have been very open about their reasons for doing so. All over the boards folk are upset about 'cancellation' of their favourite games - which is testament to what good games Mongoose make - Angry Hobby Love is a real complement.

There are - as far as I can see - plenty of figures still out there for purchase.. and gangs are easily supplemented by figures from other manufacturers.

I look forward to the 2000ad titles to come from Traveller - and I'm keenly hoping to see some more GOMC-1 material in S&P soon.

I'd REALLY like to be able to get hold of more rulebooks, though - I've three new players wanting to join my campaign.

Are PDFs likely?

alright, thanks for the fast reply... so, while waiting for the next movies to come wich is probably very soon... ahem... can I have some suggestions as to which miniatures to use to compensate for this lack. I have really big hopes with this game and I would not like it to go down just because I don't have the ''proper'' mini.... good thing I haven't started B5 or SST though... I feel bad for those new players that haven't had the time to build up their fleet/armies.

Well, a lot depends on the theme / look of your gangs, and how much you're into a bit of modification.

Here are some mini companies which do stuff which would not require much adaptation, if any:

Copplestone Castings - Future Wars
Urban Mammoth - Urban War
Foundry - Street Violence
Hasslefree - Adventurers
Shadowforge - sci-fi
em-4 - future skirmish
Old Glory Miniatures - Road Kill

Weirder Stuff:
Monolith Designs - Disturbia & Dystopia
Pulp Figures - Weird Menace
Ral Partha - Sci-fi

Apes:
These are the hardest. Mongoose pack are the best. Can be supplemented with old Games Workshop ones plus:
Eureka - Bolier Suited Apes
Some odd ones amongst Superfigs
Team Frog - Gorilla Squad

Werewolves:
D&D / MageKnight minis
Superfigs do five werewolves

Robots:
Most ranges have droids of some kind.
I really like Excalibur Minaturen - Droids, Guardians & Cyborgs

Judges:
Foundry do a range of 2000AD minis, and the Games Worhshop judges (who are quite small, but very usable) turn up on eBay quite regularly. I like the Mongoose ones best though, and they are still around and available. For a bit. Plus eBay.

If you don't object to plastics, I've enjoyed adapting MageKnight / Heroclix stuff to the game.

Hope that helps. There are plenty of others, too. I've built up quite a list over the last year.

Wow! thank you very much Ned! I was not expecting that much. Now if that doesn't convince my friend, nothing will. Thank you all for your replies.

I don't see why you should wait for a new film now, when there is a perfectly good comic book with plenty of ideas out now, then branch out later into the film if and when it comes out.

I guess scale isn't that important as long as they're +/- 28mm ?

How big are the GoMC1 minis? I haven't had the time/patience to assemble mine yet.
