Thought I'd start a thread for everyone to post their favorite Traveller art websites to.

I'll start off with the following. These just blew my mind.

The "A3" far trader: http://kemkem-web.web.infoseek.co.jp/hukkou2/a310/a310.htm

The Liner: http://www.travellerrpg.com/CotI/Gallery/images/8518/1_M0009B.jpg

WOW...I seriously wish those pages were in English!

This is what I got when I put the first characters thru babelfish translator. It only takes 150 characters at a time but it is doable.

"A-310 model free trade boat is the latest and most powerful merchant ship which is superior in jump ability between the fixed stars which are built in the world of TL15 of [guritsusun] and [mora] etc. It is appraised the jump ability between the high fixed stars, because it is used even at the area whose sidereal density is low, there is many also a thing which is named the alias remote region free trade boat. The amount where the drive equipment is cut down by the improvement of technical level, the passenger compartment and the lading commodity loading quantity have increased. This class simultaneously with sale received high appraisal from many small-to-medium-sized interstellar transport companies, came to the point of with acquiring plural design technical prizes in [guritsusun] and the [mora] star limits. The basic design is the MASA corporation which is ready the base in [mora], but, the MASA corporation design specification, offers the production program to small-to-medium-sized shipbuilding each company with exceptional license charge. Because of this the product spread to the [ma] which twinkles in the star limits. In addition it climbs also the variation in suitable number."

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Those are some eye poping graphics and the detail that has gone into creating the ships and tanks. Wow!

I hope Mongoose looks them up! :)

I love that A3 Far Trader page. I first saw it last year during my CT 30th Anniversary Renaissance.

At the time I also found a page that was very similar. As I recall, it mostly featured an X-boat. I was sure I bookmarked it, but for the life of me I can't find it, and it is driving me crazy!

Very, very nice. I always thought that Traveller needed a bit of an image upgrade. I especially like Bryan Gibson's efforts seen in Traveller 20.

I'm not crazy about Bryan's stuff. It looks too "comic-booky". It looks too much like anime. Although, he's done some stuff that looks pretty good, it's a style thing for me. I just generally don't like his style. I like the more realisitic stuff.

@Deniable

I do believe that is MAG's work. And, I'll join in with everybody else and say that's the best looking Traveller art I've ever seen. It's incredible.

I wish it were all that good.

There is quite a bit of excellent Traveller art on the web which why I started this thread. It's amazing what Google will find.

And I thought I'd offer another link. This one is to the website of Jesse Degraff, a long time fan and artist for Traveller ships.

Ship specifications may be fun to build but a picture is truly worth a thousand words.

Agreed Bryan has done some pretty comic bookish art. I think, if the new version of Traveller is going to succeed that it might take a look at Fading Suns interior art or a Thousand Suns. I would like nothing better than Blair Reynolds to take up the product and do the whole damn thing. However, the important thing for Traveller art is consistancy and high quality.
