Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in a moment of silence to honor those 311 brave men and women of Moonbase Alpha who were trapped on the Moon when it was blasted out of Earth's orbit on this day in 1999.

I was not sure I wanted to open your post tonight. I really didn't want to know who had passed away. But now that I have read it, I join you in a moment of silence.

In that classic line uttered by the old man tossed so carelessly into the cart..

"I'm not dead yet!"

Earth knew that as the moon hurtled away from Earth's orbit the people were still alive. At least there is hope they are still alive as they begin their grand quest to explore the galaxy!

I posted "Breakaway" and "Earthbound" to my tumblr blog today to mark Breakaway Day.

So glad somebody still remembers to mark today.

NEVER AGAIN

It captured that spartanic minimalism that classic Traveller feels like.
Traveller and Space: 1999 are children of the same era, contemporary with Star Wars and 2000 AD. Grogs have been attempting to stat up Eagles since the days of the three LBBs.

What do you mean attempting? We had them down cold. Right next to the force swords and astrodroids.

LOL
