Does the taking a 5' step as part of the Savage Cleave feat as presented on the Hyborias fiercest book provoke an attack of Opportunyty?

ie: if you drop your adyecent enemies and you have no one with in reack then take a 5' step to reach someone that was behind the first enemy, does this provoke and aoo from the mentioned enemy you just stepped in to range?

In your example, you would only take the AoO if the opponent in question has a polearm or otherwise has reach/threatens the square you left. You never take AoO for engaging an opponent.

Do you provoke and aoo when you step in to a threaten area?

I know you do when you step out, but do you also provoke one when you step in?

i see thanks

Argo is correct, but take it a step further.

You can provoke multiple AoOs, but only one per "source". So you can provoke on for moving out of any threatened square, one for standing from prone and one for casting a spell. That's where COmbat Reflexes is good to have. It's uncommon for more than one, but it can happen.
