I know there are lots of 15mm historicals in circulation and I have seen hints about Mongoose doing a minis game for this. I thought I'd add my support for the project as a good idea and say that it should be done on two levels:
Use the Mighty Armies style for the great massed battles and use a skirmish scale for the RPG and skirmish battles. I think you should see about buying Leviathan and looting their ruleset. That was the best minis game that never was. Bill King is a friggin genius in fluff and rules as well as in the Gotrek and Space Wolf novels.
