Hangout Playtest

Not sure if this is the correct place, so please move if it's not.

Anyone interested in playtesting over Google Hangouts? I'm in the UK and can only play during the evenings. Saturday evening might be suitable for a wider ranger of timezone availability.

I am in NY and would be willing to give it a shot, though unless you do it on the weekend by the time I am available it will be pretty late for you.

Google Hangouts? Please! Let me introduce you to Roll 20.

If you want I have an old campaign still setup that we could muddle around in too. I'd really like to give the space combat a go, as I'm very curious how the pretty significant changes feel during game play.

1900/2000 is what, subtract twelve, carry the ampersand, gives me 7/8pm your time? And central time's -5gmt if I remember correctly so six hours behind...1/2pm Central?

Also, how is it living in the future? Do you have a flying car and robot?

I would be interested, i have a lot of experience with roll20 online games and my Saturday evenings are currently free. I would be willing to act as 'play test ref' :) if no one else is.

Personally, I prefer IRC...

Well, Central Standard Time is GMT -6, Central Daylight Time would be GMT -5.

And for reference New York would be GMT -5 or GMT -4 (DST) (DickNervous).

Seriously IRC, for role playing? Isn't a lot of the spontanious interaction and table talk lost in a text only format?

Central was in reference to myself. I felt everyone else can do their own math.

1900 GMT+1 is this time in other timezones.

I'm not a fan of Roll20 and would prefer a straight Hangout, however if someone is willing to GM using Roll20, if i can play without making an account I will.

I'd prefer to play, but happy to GM. I'm new to Traveller, but an experienced RPGer (both online and F2F). I have at least one other interested from the G+ Traveller community

I would be interested in GMing one or more sessions. However, I GM a different game on Saturdays but could do Friday or Sunday with no problems. 1900 GMT+1 is 2PM EDT.

I personally prefer to use Skype for voice and Roll20 for rolls and character sheets. Roll20 has a good MGT character sheet built in which should be usable with MGT2.

I could do that time on a Saturday or Sunday (depending upon which weekend it is).
I even have a friend who plays in the campaign I run that would probably be able to make it as well.

OK, trying to collate everything:

Venomous Filigree / Phil Garrad - Friday / Saturday (preferred) - GM / Player

Mongoose forums

Old timer - Saturday, GM / Player
Ifandbut - Friday / Sunday, GM
DickNervous (+1?) - Saturday or Sunday, Player ??

G+ Traveller Community

Chris Rock - Saturday, Player?
Alex Jeffries - Friday, Player?
Dennis Higgins - Fridays / saturdays, player?

My preference would be to play, and looks like Saturday is a good day.

The next step would be to get all those interested together in one place, Google community?

Wow...roll20 getting no love. Have you tried it? Honestly I didn't think I'd like it at first either, but it turned out to be pretty useful and fun. It does require an account, like everything else these days, but it is free. I also see I didn't make the players list. I see how it is. I'll just take roll20 and go somewhere else then! ;)

vlad, I looked at your posts but couldn't determine what (if any) day/time you were saying you were available at! :)

Yes I've tried R20, whilst I agree the product is OK for what it does, an experience with their 'customer relations' has left a sour taste in my mouth...

Ah, in looking back I guess my agreement to the time was more tacit than explicit...

That said, it might not be the best idea for me to join after all. I had planned on moving to a different state by years end, but that process might be getting accelerated. Simply put I have a lot of work to get done in a much shorter time. I shouldn't be giving myself reasons to shirk said work! :/ As usual, what one needs to do is vastly different than what one wants to do.

I'd be up for this. I would like to do the High & Dry adventure with a local group as the ref (I live in Cambridge, UK), but I haven't read it yet, so I haven't spoilt it yet. :D

I can't do this weekend, because I'm running a 1/2 marathon*, but I can typically do a Friday or Saturday evening. And I am in the UK timezone (currently BST=GMT+1) so the evening from 1900 BST is good for me.

Any medium is fine, too.

Let me know if you can slot me in.

Aw, I missed this. I've now requested to join the group, however. :D

If there's still a chance to play, let me know (via this forum or the G+ group).
