Tried using the Narn G'Vrahn Fast Cruiser for the first time last night
OW!

OK lacking the Twin Particle Arrays of the G'Quan or the Bin'Tak, but it is horrbily effective. The Battle hasn't finished yet, as it is a 10pt War level game (Though we don't have that many points, it came up as part of a campaign.....)

Typical Narn War level ship, hardly ever CAF's becuase of it's boresight, but has so many systems with different ranges that it doesn't want to anyway.

I really like the G'Vrahn as its so very versatile. It lacks the sheer endurance and massed firepower of the Bin'Tak but can bring its weapons to bear a lot more often due its increased manevourability and those interceptors really help out to at soaking damage. I would still have the Bin'Tak as my flagship but this ship definitely has its uses and it is a good performer. Also looking forward to the remake of this ship ( minature wise) hopefully they can do what they did to the Z'Takk to the G'Vrahn.

I love the idea of the G'Vrahn. It's really nice to have a ship that's a bit different and advanced rather than just a bigger version of the old. Traits like Interceptors and Flight Computer plus it's speed and turns make it feel like such an advanced ship compared to the older hulls. Was really glad to see the Narn have something to help them keep up with other main races in Crusade era.
It's turns mean you should always have a target for it's big guns and I love the fact that the Narn have a ship with interceptors at last. It all fits the feel of a race that's been given a kicking and become a little more cautious and well rounded for it.

The G'Vrahn is very nice. Gives up the close in firepower of the Bin'Tak but balances this with a slightly heavier long range punch which is further enhanced by those interceptors(At long range you're mostly dealing with beams, missles, and torpedoes and while they won't stop beams, missles and torpedoes can be intercepted) and on a fast and maneuverable hull so for an interesting change of pace, especially at War level, you can usually chose what angle you're coming from.

And of course the G'Vrahn has AJP and a +2 command score in addition to all of this.

The G'Vrahn is one of the better war level ships as a hole. It is very capable, and its very intresting as a narn ship. Its a much better at the big picture than its older sisiters.
