Good Celtic Minis for Slaine

Thats the calf muscle that was spilt down the middle, not his manhood. Which looks proportionate, and otherwise normal. I just didn't reckon that scultpter would be including that much DETAIL.

You know, TOO much imformation.

SLAINE%20WARPED2_BACK.jpg

In this picture the weird spinal distortion is visable. Not really sure if the painter ( Kevin Dalimore.) had neglected to paint the bones white or perhaps they hadn't quite broken through the surface of his skin.

Just loooking at it I thought they might have.

Though the angle isn't right. ( I couldn't find a picture that would show this.!!) You could almost make out the splitted calf.

It really looks like he has two calves on one leg.

Well, I guess thats the nature of a warp spasm.

Just click link if you want to see more of example of this fellow's work.

Guys - know that this is a bit late to reply to this but did you know that there is an excellent range of Celtic miniatures for the game called Celtos? They are now sold by Brigade MODELS:

I recall seeing the Celtos core rules book featureing lots of Clint Lanely artwork a few years ago and I wanted to buy it simply as another collectors item.

I'm not sure if these still being sold. Their minatures look good as well and would be complimentry to the few Slaine minatures that Foundry have bothered to make.

Though, I'm hoping that Foundry make some Slaine minis in the near or far future.

Some Drune lords and Fomrorians (Balor) would be cool. As well some of the important characters from the four Celtic Kingdoms.

They sell the rule books too - they bought out the range and rules from i-Kore.

The Gael book is cool with nice photos of each figure with the stats for that figure. The warrior and swordmaidens are cool:

There are more but you get the picture. :)

Brigade Models are in the process of playtesting extra rules and producing new material for the range including new figures. I think it's one of the most exciting Celtic inspired figure ranges I've seen. I used to like the Alternative Armies range until I saw this range and like this lot better. Celtos also has a following in Germany and France.

Foundry Minatures also have a line of generic Celtic, Pictish, Viking and Roman minatures.
