Gods conversion

I am trying to do a D&D gods conversion to the RQ gods.
For example, I know that Bane could be... Humakt?
Could anyone help me with a document or similar?

you can't compare them as they don't have the same myths and Glorantha mythology is much more sophisticated than in DD and the notion between god and evil has no meaning in Glorantha.
Non human races are too different between both games.
Moreover, are there any grain goddess in DD?
The best is to convert them by yourself.

Maybe he means rulewise out of easiness?

Well for easiness, just use the Gods as presented...

If you are going to start trying to draw parallels between them you will soon run in to difficulty just as you would if you try and convert between say Greek, Egyptian and Norse Gods.

If you want to convert gods from anywhere to RQ you need to adopt an approach something like this.

1. Determine what Runes the god owns/best describe the god. Most gods should probably map to between 1 and 3 runes, and most pantheons should cover most of the runes between the gods...

2. Consider what aspect or aspects of the rune the god covers. A god with the death rune might be a god of Warriors, or a god of pestilance and disease, or the psychopomp who leads the souls of the dead to the afterlife. a Water god might be the gentle stream, the bountiful lake full of fish, or the cruel storm-wracked ocean. They may share a runne, but the types of spell they grant will be very different

3. List the skills and spells that followers of the god can get from their god/his temples. (Not all of these may be available to the causal worshipper)

4. List the skills and spells the followers might be forbidden fro learning "Light" for a darkness deity for instance.

These should form the basis of your mechanics. The myths of the gods will provide more background, like the relationship to other cults...

Yes, converting gods to RQ directly is really quite easy. I've pretty much morphed my entire pantheon from my (former) D&D campaign in to a RQ setting by basically outlining all the relevant cults and their functions.

My advice is just get creative. You have the samples in the Core Book, but the ones in Cults are BETTER. Just go with the flow, determine Initiate status etc for each cult, determine runes held, then the spells available. Pretty easy...

You do not have mimic any god to create another one.

What you want to do is pretty damned simple & FUN, just be creative..
