burger are you incapable of actually being reasonable all i see from your posts are tantrums and throwing your rattle out of the pram stop getting on the playtesters backs and mongooses as well the guys are doing a very good job and actually help instead of hinder them

now now, every one, be nice.
opinions on e-mines will be split you say great, someone else may say sucky, won't know till S+P next month. Burgers point is valid that EA get the majority of releases, and this has been explained away anyway, and Narn and Brakiri good choices :-) Looking forward to the new Brakiri ships

I thought we weren't going to make any more personal attacks? Leon please step back, close your eyes and count to 10 before pressing "submit". I wasn't having a go at anyone.

You post count of 13 means that you have a FAR higher tantrum-to-constructive comment ratio than I do ;)
PS. ";)" means satire, or joking in case you didn't realize.

Maybe we need to start ACTA Fight club. Get all the frustrations out of the way, slap some sense into people.

Rule one, nobody talks about acta fight club
rule two, nobody talks about second ed. . . (but they will anyway)

i was not throwing a tantrum just pointing out a well known fact you dont ever seem to agree with anyone as for the amount of posts are irrelavent i have an opion just as much as you do so dont mock people over posts or you are proving my point

Leon he flat out SAID the number of post comment was meant as a joke so dont get snippy about it please.

And Im sorry but its simply not true, just because he doesnt happen to agree with everything and likes to make sarcastic comments (in jest) doesnt meant he 'disagrees with everything automatically'.

I will now test this theory: "Burger is a great guy and everyone should give him free money."

If he posts in to disagree with that line then I'll grant you your point :P

well lets all be friends again but what is the point in people wanting this g koth so bad when you are getting told that 2E is going to fix most/all problems thats what it is for the g koth just plain stinks i for one am not a big fan of the raid level ships but prefer the skirmish.

I think people just want some more options so they can use their models - though why anyone wants to use Narn I'll never know!

Can't see any harm in it so voted yes................

2nd Ed is months away and people are living in the here and now?

have fun!

Like I said, 2e is at least 6 months away. And that date is if there are no delays, which there WILL be with 99% probability. We're not all lucky enough to have seen, and be playing with the 2e ships right now :P

the reason is, we were told that Armageddon would fix everything, and it didn't, so we take claims as such with a pinch of salt. As for the g'koth stinking, thats your opinion, several people have used it with a house rule speed of 7ish, and it has performed particularly well. Yes, the narn skirmish ships are great, but in a campaign, you want some flexibility, and a beam armed raid ship can offer something more.

in that E.P would have a primus at every level if thats the reason and i would have an avioki at every level the point is modern fleets have different size and designs because they work best

we've been through that argument, the difference being the primus and Avioki do get played as they are either A a good ship, or B a good varient, the G'Quan on the other hand is a bit sucky.

Err what? Could you use some punctuation please so we can understand what you're trying to say?

What I think your point is, is that why should the Narn get a Raid level variant of a G'Quan whereas the Centauri and Brakiri don't. If this is the case, then my response would be:

The Primus, Avioki and their variants are very good ships. They are at the very top end of "Battle" level, and they are often used in tournaments, one-off games and campaigns. Whereas, the G'Quan quite simply isn't. It is at the low end of "Battle" level, and quite frankly is hardly ever used. This is a great shame since it is one of the most iconic ships of the series. I would love to see them used more in games I play. I'm not even a Narn player, but I'd love to see more recognizable ships being used in games. Rather than suggesting ways to "fix" the G'Quan itself, which would result in even more "modified" or "fixes" in S&P, its much better to introduce a whole new ship. This is what has been done.

So in summary to your point (if I understood it correctly): the Centauri and Brakiri don't need additional variants, whereas the G'Quan does.
