I think by visible in the show he means the races you see as having seats in the league of non-aligned. The fact that they had seats would tend to indicate some strength even if that strength is not represented by a large or diverse fleet. If we also at least covered all the ships show in the show it would also help (Ipsha battle globe anyone).

Ah, yes, the Ipsha... Well, according to Mongoose they seem to have some sort of relationship with the Drazi. At least, the Battleglobe keeps appearing in Drazi illustrations
One other thought... I love the idea of getting new races, but I also feel that much of what has been done already isn't right yet. The Sag fix was good, but I worry about several of the other ships (Armageddon ships, Vorchan, Troligan, Kutai, f.e.) Fix old problems before making new ones. Just a thought.

Most, if not all, ships have changed in detail or entirety for second edition. Unlike Armageddon, this IS a new edition, and some of the changes are quite substantial, and many based on criticisms or wish lists from first edition.

Wulf, would those changes include changes in the attack mechanics like in VAS??? It will be interesting to have the Target and Armor score with the hit and damage dice!! Much easier to balance fleets with the bonus to small (hard to hit) and armored (hard to damage) ships.
