Future Books and Supplements?

I know that the articles so far released have been pretty comprehensive so far in covering as many of the bases as possible. But there are so many things that Mongoose needs to release still.

Examples:-

- Citizens and Scholars: the labourers, colonists, business people, scientists, archaeologists, medics and teachers populating the worlds of Traveller

- A Supplement to cover each Era: one for the Primitive Era (TL 0-3), one for the Industrial Era (TL 4-6), one for the Pre-Stellar Era (TL 7-9), one for the Early Stellar Era (TL 10-11), one for the Average Stellar Era (TL 12-14) and lastly one for High Stellar and beyond (TL 15+). Each Supplement focusing not just on the different technologies, but presenting plot hooks, Patrons, even unique cargoes for traders.

- I'd love to see a series of CSC that each focus on different aspects of technology - one for communications and computer equipment - hardware, software, broadcast technology, networking, programming; one for medical equipment - tools, technologies, surgical techniques, healing, drugs, autodocs, cryonics; one for entertainment equipment - music, holography, recreational drugs, whatever. You already have a CSC focusing on transportation. It's called Supplement 5-6. Perhaps a CSC titled "Third Law," featuring the kinds of really advanced technologies which, according to Clarke's Third Law, are indistinguishable from magic.

- A Supplement on constructing intrigues, psychological thrillers and mysteries. How to set up the plot or conspiracy or locked room murder; how to run a film noir hardboiled gritty gumshoe-style scenario or Serpico-style corruption intrigue, and by comparison how to set up classic locked room mysteries in deep space, where no-one can hear you accuse the butler.

How about you? Anyone got any other ideas on their wishlists for -2510-359?

The Campaign Guide was helpful, but Traveller really needs a Referee's Guide now. Something to help a novice Ref to construct a setting, use Patrons and casual encounters creatively, how to play these characters in character, how to weave Allies, Contacts, Rivals, Enemies, Patrons and Mentors into the game and how to run, among other things, trading games, war games and so on.

Also, within that guide, how to think outside the box: running Westerns, gladiatorial combat, pirates, ninjas, steampunk, X-Files-style investigations and other kinds of genres in Traveller. As well as mixing things up and plonking, say, a Steampunk time machine into the middle of an Ancient Greece-style scenario, etc.

I want something more like an updated Startown Liberty, but even if I get tables (Starports is very nice, thanks!) I am happy, esp for Starships. The CRB has a table, maybe not where one think it should be, but it is helpful, more in that vein would be great.

There's Cowboys vs. Xenomorphs for the Westerns anyways.

Items I would most like to see.

A.Finish the Alien Modules

B.Books on tech at the edges, as defined in Supplement 4 - Central Supply Catalog. Specifically:
Primitive Era (TL 0-3)
Beyond TL 20

C: You probably couldn't get the license, but anything to extend the OTU past IY 1248. My favorite setting book. Or as I like to call The Great Dominate, My Deadly Little Ponies.

A VERY needed "supplement" is software to create custom sectors, systems, planets et al. Should be able to store, display & print everything. Should be able to open the hood and change variables for house rules and the like. And NO, I'm not talking about scouring the interwebtubes for 3rd party stuff that has to be tweaked for MgT. That's about the only new Supplements I'll be purchasing at this point.
