French Monster Coliseum more monsters than the english one?

I can´t read french, but i could figure out in the items descriptions on Moongoose website that the french edition of Monster Coliseum (presented in two volumes of 120 pages each) will include stuff not available in the english language edition.

What stuff might that be?

Will that be published later on in an english version?

According to the SIL Ethnologue (2005), Encarta and Wikipedia, Spanish is the second language most spoken after Mandarin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers). But, anyway, this is not important for editing a new RuneQuest book in Spanish. Luckily, I understand english, just a little bit. :wink:

It may not be the case (as you quote) for "natively" spoken, but it stands for "spoken".

Another complication is that Spanish Spanish and Latin American Spanish (of which there are several distinct types) aren't necessarily easily mutually understandable. They are close but rapidly diverging*.

* In fairness there are roughly eight dialects of Mandarin, so this is not just a factor for Spanish.

Don't think it's luck. But mostly because Mongoose knows there was an old and very long love between French and Chaosium's games (CoC, Runequest, Stormbringer, Pendragon & Hawkmoon) in the 80's & 90's.
We also had a lot of homemade books like "La France" and "La Kamarg" for Hawkmoon, for example.
And everything was drawn by now famous french pencillers like Guillaume Sorel, Alain Gassner, Thierry Monter or Hubert De Lartigue... they really help to create a french touch to those rpg.

Well, all of this to say that Mongoose knows its business, and hopes the resurrection of games such as Runequest, Elric & Hawkmoon will be a hit in France.
But like everybody else, i'm very curious about those two Monster Coliseum.

The French and Spanish versions of Chaosium and Issaries products just have so much more class than the US versions.
