Well a few points:
Firstly, its all well and good saying support your local store but simply put some people simply cannot afford RRP and if an online shop is going to offer 25% off or some such then then people WILL take advantage of it.
Secondly not everyone HAS a local game store. There are two local stores within relatively easy reach for me but one neither of them stock BF Evo. Now Im sure that either of them WOULD order them in specifically if I asked them but for me that sort of defeats the point I'm afraid, I will, given the chance ALWAYS buy from a show rather than online for one simple reason alone: I'm incredibly impatient, if I can get something NOW rather than having to wait for it to be delivered, I'll get it now, even if it costs me slightly more
I suspect I'm not alone here, but if I'm going to have to wait for something to be ordered, and its a choice of get it ordered to local shop, wait a few days and have to pick it up and pay more, or have it delievered to me at home for much less, it just makes sense to do so.
I know from the point of view of a store owner you obviously want people to buy stuff in your shop but in the end, the average consumer really coulnt care less whether the shops make a living or not, they just want it cheaper! The real thing shops have over online, as I said, is convenience, you can just walk in and walk out with your purchace without having to wait for it

As long as gamers are impatient (and lord knows alot of us are!) and game stores keep things in stock they will still be around
ps. I see you also joined the 'hmm acutally these arent that bad at all' crowd. Your far from alone there (I think just about everyone here screamed bloody murder when they saw the change from the initial photos but looking at them straight up theyre actually pretty good (it was just a shock after the previews, which were stunning)
