Fighters And Starships In Dogfight

Well here's the rub, of the fighter is in close combat situation, then so are the larger ships, gunners...so I think it's safe to say that it equals out...

You could give 3-CPO your light sabre, and fly beneath a battleship, opening it up like a can opener, and thereby could be counted as sixty attacks.

I think they did that well not as cool as C3PO with a light saber...but with the buzz droids from that movie that shall not be mentioned....

Speaking of Fighters and Starships, how good would an X-wing fighter do against the Starship Enterprise? Who would win that dogfight?

Enterprise every day of the week. The technology basis gives federation ships a huge advantage.

Though the argument is pure speculation until you can put yields and speeds to the two systems and compare apples to apples. And, more importantly, which Enterprise are we talking about?

How many X-wing? :P

20 little fighters probably could give the Enterprise and equivalents a good run.

One to one just starts to sound like a joke...

NCC-1701, of course. None of that wretched '90s fanfic here.

Using a couple other RPGs' specs:
An X-wing flies at maximum 1050km/hr while the TOS Enterprise uses 'full speed' (0.25 c) which is 74, 984km/hr or 71 times faster. As seen in the shows, turning is not a problem for either vessel. The original Enterprise would have a hard time with swarms as that universe deals ship to ship while the future classes have collimated phaser arrays allowing multiple targeting of small craft. X-wing laser cannons are very short ranged (about 2-3 Km) compared to any phaser which has a max range of 50,000Km.

Next, plug those numbers into Traveller ships and combat. Yeeeeah, three different games.

So far, Federation architects aren't dumb enough to add large unprotected exhaust ports.

What about Mirror Universe Imperial architects? Would Evil Kirk have Evil Scotty close it just in time? Or would Bearded Spock reverse the polarity and send the Proton Torpedo back at the X-Wing?

Evidently Klingon techs are prone to un shielded exhaust ports...but since it shut that Shakespeare spouting pain in the butt up....I'll let it slide.

Problem is SHIELDS!!!!!!
it would take a snub fighter a long long time to hammer those things down....unless a jedi sneaks aboard in an unguarded cargo ship......

You know the Mirror Universe's Imperial Starships just aren't as impressive as those of the Galactic Empire.

Here is the ISS Enterprise

And this is what the Galactic Empire from Star Wars uses.
latest

Remember this scene, which looks better chasing this little starship, the Star Destroyer or the ISS Enterprise? The Mirror Universe version of "Star Wars" is a bit of a let down by comparison, don't you think?

For sheer visual impact, ya got to give it to the Star Destroyer..it LOOKS like it is here to ruin your day...

Federation ships trained against Borg cubes. Star Destroyers cry when fighters blow away their bridges. "Nuff said.

Federation ships are taken over by Hippies, drunk teenagers, and one man with a hand full of cassette tapes....Basically Stealing a Feddy ship is that universe's version of cow tipping.
