Fencing Skill

If one had skill ranks in both the Aquilonian and Zingaran fencing styles would it be possible to gain the benefits from both styles simultaneously?

For example, could I gain the benefits from the Aquilonian style maneuver "Mastery of the Measures" (In a duel, gain a + 1 bonus to dodge and parry) and the Zingaran style maneuver "Light on My Feet" (receive a + 2 to Balance when dueling)?

Unless it is specifically stated somewhere in the books that you cant combine both then you could benefit from both at the same time. however they take free actions to use and how many of those you get a round is up to your gm so ultimately its his decision.

personally i wouldn't allow both styles to be used at the same time because they are meant to be two distinct styles of fighting. you can only use one at a time but knowing both gives you alot of felxibility in a fight.

I belive all bonuses to DV always stack, and a +2 ro Ballance is a new named bomus, so it can be used simultaneously as you describe.

(editaed: had DC instead of DV....duh)

From a realism perspective, I'd agree. You could shift freely from round to round, but I'd say you could only use one style at any given moment.

From a game/mechanical perspective, unless your GM thinks like me, I don't think there is anything to prevent the conjoined use of them however.
