FAP breakdown

Is there a copy of the updated FAP's anywhere?

I know it's the same as in the playtesting pack but I can't find that and Mongoose used to have a PDF with it in but has this been updated for P+P, is it still available?

Basically when buying down, it works by multiplying by 1.5 and rounding up, rather than multiplying by 2. Buying up still costs powers of 2.

So buying down, 1 point at priority X gets you:
1 x 1.5 -> 2 at priority X-1
2 x 1.5 -> 3 at priority X-2
3 x 1.5 -> 5 at priority X-3
5 x 1.5 -> 8 at priority X-4
8 x 1.5 -> 12 at priority X-5

Buying up:
1 FAP at X+1 = 2 at X
1 FAP at X+2 = 4 at X
1 FAP at X+3 = 8 at X
1 FAP at X+4 = 16 at X
1 FAP at X+5 = 32 at X

It looks like I'll have to scan it in then.

I've got a big game on Thurs (trying out my planet killer scenario) and I want to send my opponent the breakdown.

I've just used your fleet designer Burger and it worked fine but it's tricky to find out what options I've got with 4pt Armaggedon.

And you can skip levels, unlike in 2e. So 1 War could buy you 2 Raid and 2 Patrol.
Am I misunderstanding the breakdown? As far as I can see, you're short-changing yourself by a Skirmish ship. ;)

1 War goes to 3 Raid, one of which goes to 2 Skirmish, one of which goes to 2 Patrol. Total for 1 War = 2 Raid, 1 Skirmish and 2 Patrol. (Or you could just split that Raid point straight to 3 Patrol.)

The list of options for 1 Armageddon is indeed pretty long, but easily enough worked out if you follow the breakdown list above and remember that once a FAP has been split, only one side of the split can be split further. 1 War goes to 3 Raid, but only one of those Raid points can then go to Skirmish or Patrol.

Oh yeah I meant to say 2 Raid and 3 Patrol to demonstrate that PL's can be "skipped" unlike in 2e, where the War point would have to be broken into 3 Raid, 1 Skirmish and 2 Patrol.

I'm confused :? Hence why I need to use the chart!

I don't get the splitting thing. If I split 1 Arm to 3 Battle, does that mean I have to have 2 battle and can split one down further? I guess I could split straight to 5 Raid (I think) but then I'd have 4 Raid and can split one further?

Yes that's right. When you split a point, you can re-split one of the resulting points but you have to keep the others.

1 Arm -> 3 Battle
One of these Battle can be re-split, say into 2 Raid.
Then one of these Raid can be re-split, say into 3 Patrol.

So your resulting fleet would be 2 Battle, 1 Raid and 3 Patrol.
