Estuary Cluster info

Outside of Cluster Truck, is there any other information on the Estuary Cluster out there? The setting is very poor, with only 2 Ag worlds, 1 Pre-Ag, and only one system that is not Non-Ind, and that one is Low Pop as it's only trade code. The closest even marginally industrial world is the TL7, Pre-Ind Droyne world of Hisknestrols, 6 parsecs from Atla. The closest commercial shipyard is in the Malorn Union, 2 subsectors away, in Spector and they're TL9.

I think this makes a great setting area, but I want a better idea of what's going on. There's no reason I can see the Solomani would want the place, as the area of Solomani space nearest the cluster, 2 subsectors away, is just as poor and underdeveloped. I'd think taking over would be more expensive than the value the Solomani could generate there.

Would also be interested in others thoughts on the setting and surrounding space.

There's not any more information, to my knowledge. But as to why the Solomani would want it, it's in what the Solomani call the "Close Rimward Area of Interest" which is on the way to the Rimward Corridor, which is where they are doing long-range exploration and colonization. They want to keep an open and friendly supply line to their distant outposts and colonies in places like the Lubbock, Kruse, and Xuanzang sectors.

I mean, to the Solomani, any semi-lost Terran colony is definitely of interest. But Estuary is sort of in an Aslan colonised area too, and a fair way away, so there's a whole bunch of reasons why other areas would get more attention. And... they really aren't short of semi-lost Terran colonies.

I like that it doesn't have much information. It lets the Referee and the Players fill in the blanks. So much of Chartered Space has high technology and higher resources, if not nearby, then within a few weeks of a jump 3 drive. Like you pointed out, the setting of Cluster Truck, by being low tech and low resources, escape the interest of large polities like the Solomoni Confederation and lets smaller stakes for low-tech space truckers take forefront.
