The secret is not to go with Lulu...for as much as your product will get greater marketshare in the United States...it will be shut out of markets outside of the US.

It's not *quite* so bad as long as you are in a country where there us a Lulu printer ... Australia, Spain, UK, USA ... where the shipping costs, instead of iniquitous, are merely outrageous.
Still, for small page count books the base charge is a killer and, coupled with the outrageous to iniquitous shipping charges for single books outside of the US, well, there's no point in dealing with them.
I won't be going with Lulu, at least not for non-direct PoD sales ... assuming I can tee up my preferred online distributor, but they want a physical example of the finished product for approval first, and I've never dealt with them before, so its not guaranteed :wink:
