Dynasty and usefulness in Cstars

So I am slowly getting more interest in the Chthonian Stars setting for Traveller and maybe even playing an inner system Free Trading game for it. I already have a customised orbital ready to go with profitability just fine.

Now, its been a while since I've been here and I see Dynasty is released. I was wondering how useful it would be to add a bit of colour to the Inner Sol System planets as described in Cstars. I already have the UWPs for them in the pdf, but I wondered if I could get more details for them from the current Traveller crunch.

I've heard there isn't really any additional planet generation rules in the Scout book, but Dynasty seems like it would add more crunch to the Earth's United World Council and the more colonial and harsher worlds of Mercury and Venus, along with the dying tourist destination of the UWC funded (some say theyre blackmailing the companies there to stay instead of shutting up shop) world of Mars.

I'm looking for a more real-world and harder scifi game than Traveller's default setting and something similar to Dead Space, so Chthonian Stars is great. I'm just wondering exactly what Dynasty entails and how useful it would be to my game.

Not to toot my own horn too loudly or anything...

I'm interested in getting some backstory and a better timeline for the inner system worlds, I think Dynasty could work to show TRIAD (Terrestrial Research, Infrastructure and Development) and their grip over Mercury for the past 93 years (That would make them into their fourth generation of governing that colony).

It could also function for the much older United World(s) Council that is based on Earth but has a mighty hold over there and the struggling Mars. The UWC is 131 years old in the current setting, making it somewhere in its fifth generation of uniting the planets and colonies.

The UWC watches over TRIAD on Mercury, enabling resources to be sent over to keep the non-self sustaining colony of Port Tian there, active. A treaty has been signed for the UWC to have a scientific base set on Mercury to study Sol in an agreement that they will not set up a trade embargo there in the future.

As you can see, the UWC holds some real power in this setting. Dynasty may be a good purchase to show the power struggles between this strong force and the various colonies it funds and watches over.
