Does the spacecraft on page 112 of the Core Rulebook have a name or is it a throw away design put in to fill up space?

Tne gives Bastien as the name of one such class. CT no doubt has a code for it.

Typ-M Subsidized Liner, 600dton, Maneuver=1, Jump=3, TL-12 or TL-13. A combined frighter/passenger craft with some "grow up" potential (replacing systems by higher tech, smaller ones) and a nice player ship given the long legs and all the NPC

There are multiple variants under the names of Bastien or Stellar-class. In the "Hard Times" era a "mercenary/escort conversion" the "Admiral Bertelli" class is build, best known ship being the Viggy detailed in "Assignment: Vigilanty". Loren Wiseman has deck plans for various variants (including a yacht) as a PDF on sale

I found the site selling the Wiesman deckplans after a quick google of "Subsidized Liner" this is very close to what I need for my campaign.

The old FASA plans called it the "Lord Sommerset". Not sure what it was called in "Signal GK".

The original Battlestar Galactica called it just another member of the ragtag fleet. No, I'm not kidding.

There was an unofficial online contest a few years ago for other renditions of the Type M. Not sure if those results are still floating around...

I've seen a couple pictures of what they are calling a "Prison Barge" that is the new show's version of it, but I haven't watched the original in quite a while. I have, from way back when, a kids puzzle that shows the fleet and clearly includes this ship. There don't appear to be any *good* pictures of this puzzle online...
