Contiuum Convention issues

I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this, but it is Runequest related so I'm posting it here.

The Continuum convention in Leicester this year is struggling to get enough people to sign up early enough to confirm their booking of Leicester University. The organisers have posted on BRP central about this asking if as many people as possible who are intending to go sign up and pay by May 6th as on May 7th they have to decide whether to go ahead or not.

That is the thread discussing the situation.

I hope the convention does not have to cancel, as it will be my first Glorantha and Runequest related convention, and I was looking forard to it. :(

Hi,

As one of the organisers of Continuum I want to thank Psychman for all his support. Continuum is a great convention for Glorantha, Runequest, BRP and many other games. We are a friendly convention, a big family really and we want people to come and have as much fun as possible.

We need your support, we will have lots of events to keep you busy, but we always welcome offers of more. There will be miniature displays from Greg Privat, Gloranthan LARP/Freeforms, Living Glorantha and Living Traveller events and lots and lots of sit down games. If you have anything else you would like to contribute we are all ears.

We need more people, the con usually has between 200-250 guests, and we would like to see that number of people again. Our accomodation is top quality, with en-suite rooms in beautifully designed university accomodation (and no that is not a pun), we are central in the UK and our prices are excellent.

Mongoose will be there in force, Matt Sprange, Loz and Pete Nash will all be around for you to hassle, with RuneQuest and Glorantha panels. Rick Meints and Jeff Richard from Moon Design will be revealing the latest news from 3rd Age Glorantha. Angus Abranson and Cubicle 7 are going to be promoting their beautiful products especially Dr Who Adventures in Time and Space.

So come along, lend us your support, sign up today and most of all sign up your friends today to! If you have never been to a convention then this is the one you want to come to. In 1992 I had never been to a convention, Convulsion the father of Continuum was my first and now I help run it!

Follow Psycheman's links to our website or IM me directly for more information.
