Biggest waste of points ever.......

I always prefer more models to upgrading.
instead of marauders I buy extra NCOs.
Same with my pathfinders, hard to find something better than minimal pathfinder units with sniper rifles and a javelin each. You get more units for the points and lots of extra reaver missiles.

And the 750pt queen WASN'T a waste?
I seriously think the Queen is the most useless bug ever. A brain bug does just as much good, except when it dies, you only lose 300 points as opposed to 700.

Queen = Nuke Magnet

If you put a 750 point bug on the table when there is any chance of there being a nuke left, then you deserve to lose :)
Keep it in a tunnel or in reserve and remember, it's only ever going to be in a big game anyway as it's a colony asset. Bear in mind our game was 4500 points, once the 120 warriors were finished there wasn't much left that could fire a nuke. At that point the queen popped up and went on a chomping spree.
I only put her in as part of the scenario we played anyway, I prefer massed armies of cheap stuff used well, rather than gimicky one trick armies. Workers and warriors all the way :) and I ignore air assets, there's nothing a fighter can do to make it worth the points when everything on the board is cheap.
Most pointless model is the overseer: all of the negative properties of a brain without gaining coordinate and slower movement than any other bug, hover 8 for christ's sake.

However add him the enchanced shield and put in front - then watch as the MI grit their teeths trying to bring down 6 target 8 hits before they can attack rest of the army... :/ Or use him as an extra rupture-launcher.
Plus doesn't that pokemon have the coordination ability?

I don't think it's useless. You can 'park' it on the centre line of the battlefield, shower the enemy with talents and when he's coming you can assault them.
Anything that isn't nuke has no chance of killing an Overseer with Shield Talent.

nope, no coordinate..... so basically if you place it in front, the enemy just need to fire everything at it, then have a free turn as the bugs get one action each next round. A fire magnet is only worthwhile if it draws more fire than it's worth, problem with an overseer is that it's worth firing everything at it anyway, once it's gone you can pick and choose next round as the bugs limp towards you.
And if you are buying him as a 'fire shield' wouldn't 25 workers be a better investment? :)
And I'd love to play against a bug player who stuck an overseer in as his vanguard....... means the highly mobile bug army can only move forward 8" a turn. :)

Frankly the perspective of challenging those 6 t8 hits just to bring down mere shield doesn't seem too encouraging to me (am playing MI only btw). And think a bit wider - it doesn't have to lead an assault, what about "just" screening a good flanking fire line? Being a fire magnet is good aswell, with 14 hits (shield included) it's at least 2 turns of soaking up everything heavy humans have got. That means 2 turns of "free", unsupressed advance for rest of the swarm, as most people will swallow this bait.
All in all overseer does have it's uses, not everything must be a straightforward assault bug ;)

a nuke !!!

your using a 300 point nuke to take out a 250 point modle !!! as a bug player all i can say is go for it ;)

Exactly - plus sniper fire is, well, at least questionable here: will hit on 4-5 with a 2+ save and inflict 2 hits on the 6. Not the best odds, especially that it means effective immobilisation of the squad - tough on many scenarios requiring mobility. And anything that'll block a reaver for a turn is good for the bugs, not for us.
Sometimes it's better to leave such a bait alone... ;)

one turn max
one nuke 2 REAVERs few Long Moritas and it's dead

The only problem with this statement is the REAVERS. They are not standard equipment with the Pathfinders, but the point value was never given anywhere.
