Big Book of Bots

dmccoy1693

Cosmic Mongoose
So I got an email from Amazon saying that there's a new book coming out for the Traveller line published by Mongoose called "The Big Book of Bots", written Mongoose's own Gareth Hanrahan (go Mytholder). Product description is:
Bots are fun. Bots are great. Bots are invaluable. Friend Computer says so. The Big Book of Bots details these tireless servants of Alpha Complex. Now you too can have these marvellous, mechanical marvels with their often completely inappropriate programming more heavily involved in your campaign. And remember that they are valuable Computer property - just because the assigned warbot has gone dangerously beserk does not mean it can be just blasted to pieces as someone will responsible for the damage caused. Remember: Bots are fun!
104 pages. The only confusing part about it is the release date: April 25, 2008.
Link

Discuss.

(EDIT: Yeah. I made it to 100 posts.)

It is for Paranoia, not Traveller.

Moving right along, here........

Robots are missing from MGT. No construction rules etc. Methinks a Robot supplement is a definite "must write" for the MGT crew.

Because I need to build a whole army of them to invade...er...sell.

To interstellar polities that allow them.

Obviously.

;)

Darn. I was really kinda hoping for a Traveller/Paranoia crossover.

Because having the Computer from Alpha Complex show up in the Third Imperium could explain sooooo much about the true origins of Virus...

Having written a few robot supplements for Avenger Enterprises in the past, I may take it upon myself to write a new Robots book for MGT if there is enough interest. So I guess I should ask: who would be interested in buying an inexpensive supplement for Robots in Traveller?

With Regards,
Flynn

I urgently need lots of robots for my water world setting, from robotic
satellites and sonar drones down to aquaculture and mining "aquabots",
and I am very tired of using CT Robots (outdated) or GURPS Robots (too
complicated).

Rest assured that I would buy an inexpensive robot supplement !

Thinking about it, I might even buy a rather expensive one ...
