BFE: How do the mongoose crew handle buildings?

In the basic rules that is.

Tonight's game between me and brassjones involved a lot of buildings that were hard to reach into to move troops around.

In the first game, we treated them as a bit like cover zones, which had the bad effect of everything being visible since the buildings were kind of small.

Next time around we played with the whole see through walls and cover 1" away from a model. Which worked a bit better.

In the end, perhaps treating them as actual walls and not zones of any sort would work best, and models get cover as per their positioning. With walls that fully block sight no matter how close the firing or target unit.

How does the mongoose crew officially handle buildings in the basic rules? Now, I know the advanced rules have rules on this, but the group is only playing basic for now.
 
we played our first games tonight and had a hell of a time figuring out cover.
We have buildings, we played one move action to get on top.
Once on top, the guys had fire over the side. So does the edge give them cover or obscure line of sight when be fired at?
What if a tank is behind the edge of the building? Center to center is unobscured, but the tank is butted up to the back of the buidling? What if I move the center of the tank or model behind the corner of the building, do I still have LOS?

When you have walls, and you have model behind the wall are they getting cover or obscured line of site?

If I get double supression, can I react with a move only still?
