Beltstrike postponed ...

Mongoose
Beltstrike has moved from the November to the December column. :(

Now Beltstrike, Scout and Babylon 5 are all announced to be published
in December - three books I am waiting for. Could well become a nice
Christmas this year. :D

Ah ... and a somewhat expensive one ... :(

I'm kind of wondering if the lack of products announced for Traveller in Jan to allow Mongoose a chance to catch up. This allows for a few products to slip into next year and not have them push back any other products further.

Please do not mention that possibility, I have already the feeling that
Beltstrike is trying to evade my campaign ...

Damn, now I can afford November, but really can't afford December

Ah well, it's just a reversal of the situation as was

Hi guys,

Not a biggie this one, just the way the web site operates. Beltstrike was always going to be a late November release, but it has just dropped a week or so, pushing it into December. The good news is that it will be early December :)

For some reason it seems to have become a January release ?

Mongoose is on a different calendar from the rest of us. On their calendar, early December is the same as mid-January.

Note to myself: Never again base an important part of a campaign plot
on an announced but not yet published supplement. :(

Guys, Beltstrike is on the January page because we cannot guarantee it will get to all shops in time for December. However, it is already at print, and we are just waiting for delivery to our warehouse. Some shops will see it before Christmas, as will those who have mail ordered it.

I knew it. Communists! They must be Communist! After all they are Brits and now they are behind the calendar, just like the Sowjets with their October Revolution in November!

OOOOOH ! Better adjust my tinfoil hat for maximum reflectivity ! ;)

Well Awesome...this means I in the eastern US will be getting my PreOrdered copy ASAP in the next cople of days in the mail. I will read it and let the rest of you know ALL ABOUT IT

BTW I like the level of drawings in the preview, simple black and white line drawings work the best...good job Mongoose Pub. Two thumbs up for you!!!! :P

Excellent stuff ! Nice to see belters move out of drifters - which always seemed more like Fred Sanford (Junk Empressario) than Rig roustabouts and mining engineers.

BTW. The deckplan page that details only the huge fuel tank...one might begin to suspect a tad tendency towards humor, and, even shading towards a bit of ironic humor in your personality. I'm just sayin is all.....

Just remember, when having a firefight on the deck above, near or by the fuel tanks, the ship's armor is on the OUTSIDE, and the fuel inside does not like grenades, PGMP's or Fusion weapons. The fuel has a tendancy to go BANG! When this happens.

That can be fun too, but remember how many players like using grenades, plasma weapons, and fusion weapons in such tight spaces. Or the yutzes who fire onto the bridge of starships with their weapons on full auto not considering the rounds that do not actually hit their targets.
