Double post I know but its my thread

Demos went down well today but most people had not even heard of the game.

All of the people enjoyed their games but the PLA took a right beating from the brits all day.

No trader there was stocking the minis which was a bit poor but a few people were going to talk to their local shop about getring in some stock.

I will have to start on a new demo board now :)

we have demos planned on march the 3rd i think, me and LBH will have 2 or more tables going, shop is also going to bum up their stock and have said out of all the games they have stocked so far this one has launched the best, we keep plugin the game in the area, and the modles are helping it be not another metal figure game system.

any tips about doing demos of the game Lowroller ie size of forces for example ?

Ecil is indeed correct, he and I are demoing the game in Travelling Man Bristol on Sat 3rd March between 12 and 5.

If you fancy coming along the more the merrier.

Bit of a trek for me buit thanks for the offer, besides i know how to play thanks

On the demo front my minis are limted at the moment so it was Brits vs PLA 2 infanrty units = a tank on each side with lots of terrain.

I borrowed all the ruined building from my club here is a pic

Tanks go down well a lot of people stopped to have a look at the mins.

The PLA took a right kicking all day so Brits vs Americans might be a good idea as they get armour saves.

One highlight of the day was a young lad (brits) wiped out his dads PLA with only one loss

Well as prep for my demos I managed to make some copies of the unit cards I have.

Scanner, brains enough to work out double sided printing without a double sided printer + laminator = some pretty nifty cards protected from spills at the gaming table.

Looked good, I laughed when I saw the 40k buildings. I have loads! Though I have converted them to use in other games, such as confrontation mostly. :)

Just gotta paint most of my scenery, come to overlord, see what I will be using for evo! It will be there!

That was one thing i found useful was the unit cards from S&P can be printed out 2 cards to an A4 sheet if you put them back to back you have your own referance sheet

Hi Guys,

I will be running Demos of BF Evo soon down at our LGS.

We are probably about 1-2 weeks away from getting stock in store here in Oz.

What size table are you using for demo's 4' x 4' or 6' by 4' ?

What Scenarios are you using?

I was looking at using a 4' x 4' table with a mix of Buildings, Ruins and clear space.

Deployment etc as per normal (at least 24" apart).

Running 2 Armies eith EFTF or USMC Vs PLA

1 Tank & 2 infantry squads per side.

How are you guys running your demos?

Thanks in advance!

keep it simple no bigger than 4x4 as these are demos of how the games play and not a full game, after all if the wish for a full game they need to buy the stuff ;)

As you can see in the pic above i used 1 tank and 2 infanrty units.
It's not too big for one person to use but you can get three a side if there are lots of people wanting to play

I like that idea I wil borrow it thanks :D

I will be running demos as needed in Crystal Lake, IL (USA)

Imagine my surprise to find out a new FLGS opened up within 15 minutes of my house! I had been told they just had boardgames and some paint and to not get excited, but upon walking in the first thing I saw was BF:E in stock!

Any lurkers out there who happen to be in the area feel free to email me at jonwalters202@sprint.blackberry.net and we'll see if we can set up a meet.

Here's the store:
