Battlefield:Evolution Demos

Well I prepped my demo stuff for next Saturday, 4 squads of Brit Inf have now got labels on their bases, and all the scenery and troops I own are now in a bag with dice, measuring tapes, etc to take next weekend.

One of my boxes of Infantry lacked rules and a stat card, but I've already emailed sales to sort that out I hope.

well for demos ive made some smoke counters with hit recorders built in to represent hits taken for tanks for example.

il get pics up onc ive drybrushed the dials for detail.

Our LGS should have stock for BF: Evo in about 2 weeks.

I am building a 4' x 4' table for Demos.

I am going to try to avoid the common Middle Eastern Theme for terrain and am aiming to have a Urban area with a warehouse and other building with a small dock with ship.

If I can pull it off I will post pictures. I will need to dazzle a few players to get them keen about playing (it is a new game & company for them they usually play GW).

Happy Gaming and good luck with your demos

Make sure you have counters for things like suppression. Stuff like that is key for new players who aren't used to the rules.

I'm thinking 1 tank and 2 infantry for our demos this weekend Evil.

Oh and it was Ted Chang who despatched my replacement card to me apparently. Ted always looks out for me.

i think LBH maybe in love

It is Legal now just not compulsory

I would now like to say I have had good after sales service from MGP (and I have).... but given the last few comments it might make the single players jealous

I will post W.I.P pictures of my Demo table later tonight - Children permitting :D

One other thing I did in the lead up to BF: Evo's release at our LGS in Australia was create a folder with BF: Evo pictures etc inside i.e. Stat cards from S&P - Wave 1 (needed some editing to print so could be read) and pictures of Wave 2 releases to help wet players appetite.

I also want the table in store soon to help create interest to get players at the first few Demo's I run. The folder has already had a good response from players.

I'm finding that local people haven't heard of this game much..if at all...i'm in southern california, LA area.

SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE!

Does anyone know of any demos happening the the Los Angeles area? Thanks.

I'll be at AI in ABQ New Mexico, from 2-7 Tomarrow running demos and talking about the game.

Then every Sunday from Noon to 5:00 during March.

The main issue they are having is stock, they can get no more.

So whip the gnomes a bit and speed up production :)
