Bad Edition of High Guard Still Shipping

I ordered my HG through the Mongoose store a couple of days after the recall was publicized and Mongoose indicated that the problem was fixed.

I did receive the bad copy. So you might want to check into that.

(On the other hand, a bad first page and some cosmetic errors make it completely useable.)

Right now I would happily take one of the "bad" copies just to get my hands on it, since our local game store seems unable to get it (or anything) right now.

So if someone has one they don't want, feel free to let me know.

The only BAD thing about the new HG is the TOC. The rest of the book is as desired by Mongoose (of course there will be Errata).

Matt has posted the correct TOC on the HG News Thread.

My LGS says they'll be getting it either today or tomorrow. Figures since I had game last night and I won't be back there for a week. Either way, if the TOC is all that's wrong with it, I'll survive.

What was officially wrong with the first batch beyond a "printing error"?

Really, it's minor stuff. The first page is from Mercenary and so lists wrong chapters. Within the book, there is a font that keeps showing up in the "Example" parts. The font is all scrunched together and hard to read.

But that's it. It's a completely serviceable book.

I wasn't complaining about it just letting Mongoose know that their store was still shipping out the wrong ones.

That's the 2nd set that was supposed to be fixed though. Or am I reading it wrong.

I believe so yes, but here's what Matt sent me when I emailed him on the situation:
