Does the +2 bonus for a background skill stack with the +2 bonus Hyborians get for their Adaptability trait? For example, can I have Intimidate as a background skill and as one of my Adaptable skills to get a +4 circumstance bonus?

Your race's background skills do not grant a bonus to those skills, it grants two free ranks with those skills. An important distinction.

Also note that Adaptability grants you a competence bonus to your skills, not a circumstance bonus.
