Ancients Campaigns (MotA/SotA/WotA) Fusion Weapons

In Secrets of the Ancients there is a "precursor" weapon called a Fusion Pistol (TL 22) detailed in The Death of Grandfather chapter.


I am currently in the midst of converting Wrath of the Ancients for Fantasy Grounds and in that book there are a few stats (just damage really) for a Fusion Rifle that lots of the Droyne carry, but there is no picture of it in the book, which my OCD really dislikes. I took it upon myself to create one in the 'style' of the Fusion Pistol from the aforementioned book.

Since there are no detailed stats in WotA beyond damage (4D/16D) I figure the range would be similar to what a laser rifle has (400m) or maybe the FGHP (450m).

While working on the fusion rifle, I also created a shorter Fusion "Carbine"::

Since this is just a weapon imagined by me I would follow the same math for shorter range and damage like a laser carbine would have compared to a laser rifle but using the Fusion Rifles damage (4D/16D). So, 3D/12D damage and half the range of the rifle.

These should not be common or anything as they are still Ancient level weapons in the TL 22+ range.

Feel free to use the fusion rifle and fusion carbine as you see fit.

I'm not a fan of the Mongoose art for Droyne weapons because the illustrated pistol grips are not contoured for Droyne hands...
they have a thumb and three fingers, if one finger is on the trigger then only two fingers can wrap around the grip.

Not that they need triggers, they could have psionic firing mechanisms...

I really like your designs, I will add them to the file, but I think they are more of a form factor for human or vargr servitors.
