Ammunition balance/math feedback:

Ammunition is game breaking in certain cases.

a) Need to revise why plasma ammunition is so damn good. Generally not a good design principle to have an "this is always the best choice with no competition" - currently it is. It's like saying at TL 15 all your ships have to use meson and nothing but meson, and all your troops should use FGMPs and nothing else.

b) Gauss not taking ammunition. This is a huge problem. Gauss will never be invented, because gauss is now terrible. MGT1 allowed Gauss to use DSAP/APDS ammo. Why has this been changed? Gauss will never be used because pistols and rifles with APDS ammo are simply a lot better. Logically, Gauss would always want to use and benefit from APDS. And no, range is not a sole good enough reason to use Gauss.

The thinking here is that a) is is ruinously expensive and b) for small arms it is available only at TL16 - greatly restricting its availability in most campaigns.

Or TL17 :P

But runiously expensive would mean perhaps X10000. X10 to X1000 is trivial for ammunition costs it seems
