Alt. Hunter converted and painted by WereRogue

I detest the actual Hunter model. It only looks similar to the show, but it always reminds me of a cross between a hobby horse and one of my wife's hair clips.

So, I found this Dark Eldar Torture class ship from the BFG line and liked the look of the hull. I think it's a nice compromise and very reminiscent of the Nemesis, thus creating a more uniform looking Psi-Corp fleet. Between the Shadow Scout I bought for tendrils and the price reduced Torture ship, the whole mod only cost my client $15.

The paintjob is a metallic black, washed with a puple inkwash, a green inkwash, then hit with a drybrush of boltgun metal and a final, lighter, metallic black. The camera flash seems to have picked up the greenish tint on the nose, washing out some of the detail, but the model isn't that bad.

nice engines. P3 Ember Orange?

Actually, no, but apparently I need to get some.

I use a lot of Folk Art or Apple Barrel paints, so it's basic orange, then I add a dot or two of yellow to the middle while the orange is still wet. Once that's dry, I had a thinned coat of Chestnut ink.

This was a great idea by wererogue. I was a bit shaky about it at first, but atfter buying the models, and seeing the unpainted version, I was all up for it.

I about drooled on the floor after seeing the finished product. I was completely amazed and satisfied with this mod/paint scheme. He also has one of my nemisis painted and managed to replicate the Metallic non-roganic and the Black Organic look of the shadows very well.

I am eagerly awaiting more of my models to see what he comes up with next.
