allies question

when choosing allies for those who are allowed them, do you have to spend the whole point on just allies, or can you mix the allies in with ships of your fleet

ie if you spend a point like this:

1 battle point:
1 Hyperion
1 Psi-corp mothership

I've always viewed it as being able to take *up* to the max allocation for Allies. Fewer would be fine.

Same here. It just wouldn't make sense for them to refuse you a ship just because you're not demanding everything from them that you could. I would however still count the whole point as having been spent on allies, rather than then trying to say that you've spent 1/2 a point.

ISA specifically says "up to" 1 point of allies, so for 1 Raid FAP you could take 1 Sagittarius and 2 Blue Stars if you wanted. Psi Corps says either 0 or 2 points, nothing in between... but I doubt anyone would actually enforce that.
