Hi all
I'm working on some material for BE:MC for conflicts in Africa, tentatively titled African Wars (catch and original it's not, I know).
There are a couple of areas I'd like some feedback on.
1. Vehicle choices: There are a multitude of possible vehicle choices that I could add. The countries that make up Africa have been supported by various 1st and 2nd world powers over the years, and I see no reason for that to change. From old Russian T34-85's, T55's, M60's, Chieftains(and Oliphants) right up to modern T72's and T90's. So, do I try and be as comprehensive as possible, or provide a representative cross section? I'm also aware that not all of the vehicles will have suitable models available, so do I aim to stat up only those that people can get their hands on?
2. Forces. At this stage I'm aiming for 3 army lists, Irregular troops (for warlords and rebels), National troops (a force generica for any national army, representative rather than any specific company) and Mercenaries. I'm also thinking of adding possible rules to use other army lists as peace keepers, including rules of engagement options.
3. Campaign. A vague, unformed thought about some sort of additional campaign rules to allow warlords and other forces to battle it out in a fictional African nation (something like Bongolesia, for those in the know) with pre-designed forces to choose from.
What do we think?
