Adira Gravatic Energy Grid 3

Ok...rules say that one can basically deduct the first 3 Damage and 3 Crew points from the total number of hit points from each separate weapon attacking it (except for Critical Hits of course)... ok that's pretty clear...

Suppose you have 3 EA ships in a Squadron firing the same type of missile system that are 6 AD per ship...ok that'd be 18 AD total(assuming arcs and ranges are accounted for)...

In this case, are you still forced to roll 6 dice separately (in spite of the squadron benefit) and deduct the Gravitic Energy Grid of 3 from each one of these attacks or do you only get to deduct the first 3 Damage/Crew hit points from rolling the 18 all at once?

In other words would it be more correct to say you must deduct 3 Damage/Crew hit points fired by each separate weapon attacking it per enemy ship ?

Hopefully this made sense...

My understanding is that you still deal with fire on a per ship basis, even though you get to fire multiple ships during a single selection. This would mean that you get to deduct 3 damage/crew from each ship.

You would deduct 3 damage and crew loss from each weapons system that hits. Weapon system is defined as one line on the weapons table of each ship. So you deduct 3 damage and 3 crew from each weapon on each ship. Your opponent could not roll his 18AD all at once, he should roll the 6AD from each ship individually since they are each attected by GEG.

The squadron still allow you to fire all 3 before the Adira gets to fie back, though, so it is still a good advantage.

Basically yeah, the boys above are right. The way you describe would not talk about weapon systems, but weapon types.
