a breaching pod makes contact with an enemy vessal in the movement phase
but in the shooting phase a ship nearby explodes do the pods take hits from the explosion ie killing the troops before they board or are they already classed as on board the target vessal and safe ? :?

Pods can't be targetted after they connect, I believe, and therefore are immune from any damage (they also shouldn't be recoverable in a campaign unless you win the boarding action AND the battle... can't remember if that's stated). Anyway, the troops are on board and safe.

thanks for that it just iv used breaching pods 4 times now and 3 of those times they were destroyed in this way
