I find it so hard to take you seriously. You say that calling someone who disagrees with you an idiot is a great way of looking at things. But anyways, I've finally realised how much money I have and am hoping to buy a good deal of primer and paint and paint everything that isn't painted yet and have fun

I'm sorry that this may sound condecending. bUt there are still idiots out there that think the new change is the worst thing in the world. Not me, I'm loving it. I have people in my town why grab the collectble mini's by the ton, and will jump into SST when this stuff come out. In the meantime, it gives me time to pain all my stuff and grab 1 more grizzlies unit and some more cougars.

Yes, you were the one that called people idiots for leaving, although LR also did in the past. He said that calling people idiots because they don't agree with you isn't condescending, which is what I was commenting on. I guess it's hard for some people to follow a line of reasoning.

Fanboys who are constantly trying to drown constructive criticism or valid concerns with nonsensical name-calling is probably the best disservice to the game that can be performed. Since Mongoose has shown in the past that they listen to what their customers have to say, it only harms improvement by annoying anyone with anything worth saying away from the game. Anyone on the fence about staying or getting into SST will see the type of hostile and immature community that is growing on these forums and decide that their hobby is not worth getting aggravated over and go someplace else. You'll say "good riddance, idiots" while Mongoose will be saying "that's lost revenue" and the game will have fewer supporters.

I agree that name calling isn't the best way to put forward a pro-evo arguement, but there's a huge gulf between people who are putting forward valid concerns and constructive critcism; and the people who are hysterically decryiung evo as not being a wargame cos the minis are prepainted (ignoring the continued availbility of the old minis), that their old minis will be totally incompatible with the new ones due to the redesigns (ignoring Matt saying that the skinnies would be made closer to the artwork and have a more unified design, and that the MI and Bugs are largely tied into a specific look because of licensing, so they're going to look mostly the same) and myriad other complaints that have been covered by Matt, mostly in his initial post on the subject.

it's the lack of reading comprehension on the behalf of certian posters that has me (and presumably other posters) frustrated.
