AA and the Quad 20mm

We used aircraft for the first time this week along with my new Gorgi Quad 20 (fantastic model) As usual, we played the game and found out we were playing wrong according to the rules after reading again to see what we forgot.

So, is it right that AA guns cannot react fire against aircraft as they are either Slow in their own right or mounted on a Lumbering vehicle which prevents Reaction Fire? Have I missed a rule that overides these traits?

Page 31 tells us that units can only fire as a reaction against aircraft, but don't mention overiding the Slow or Lumbering trait, and if they can react fire against aircraft then why not against ground? This of course goes for Vehicle AAMG's as well as my quad.

This is correct. Some AAA can react, some won't be able to - there is no over-rising of existig traits, unless the unit has special rules letting it do so.

Nothing to stop the AAA targeting aircraft on its own turn, of course. . .
