A couple of questions about the Drakh:

Can the raiders on the mothership be squadroned before the battle?

and

Ive been told that ancients get a min CQ of 4 because of flight computer, if true does that apply to all ships with flight computer?

Thanks

I believe the answers are:

No and Yes in that order.

Alas, no, you cannot Squadron the Raiders, which is a shame, and they have an effective CQ4, until they loose their Flight computers. This applies to every ship with flight computers, ancient or not.

Squadrons have to be declared at deployment at the start of the game, since the raiders and what not from the mothership and carriers aren't deployed they can't be squadroned.

Matt has said on rulesmasters that raiders CAN be squadroned. I won't bother trying to find the thread, since it is probably deleted.

Regarding squadrons of raiders, I will search in rulemasters.
If I dont find it, should I post on rulemasters to maybe get a verification from mr sprange, unless he sees it here

Ships in hyperspace can indeed be squadroned -- they are deployed (in hyperspace, mind you).

Ships with flight computers have a MINIMUM crew quality of 4. If their own intrinsic CQ is higher, they have that instead, until skeleton crewed. Also remember that any launched raiders inherit the CQ of their attendant Huge Hanger ship, so that CQ 6 Mothership with 7 Heavy Raiders and a Scout is a Cast-Iron B****. Given that you can swap out (if I remember correctly) in a campaign any one CQ score to any other ship for a different one, what is the probability that at least one Drakh Mothership at the start of a Campaign will have a CQ of 6? About 1? Certainly > 0.95.

Actually, I have one more question --- in campaigns, at what level are Motherships modular?

Consider the following cases:

1. A Mothership is heading into a recon run scenario and has a full loadout. The best possible loadout is probably 8 Light Raiders, but has just come from a refit at Fleet Command. Can it:
A). Choose its loadout on the spot, it hasn't fought yet
B). Its Huge Hangars loadout was determined when you left Fleet Command, I hope you like it

2. That Mothership won, but lost a few Light Raiders in the process. Can it
A). Fill up from other ships with the Huge Hangars capability or independent ships with whatever it wants at turn-end
B). Fill up from other ships with the Huge Hangars capability or independent ships with only Light Raiders, what it lost
C). Fill up with independent raiders up to its Huge Hangars capacity
D). Fill up with independent Light Raiders only
E). Deal with it, you're down 3 Raiders

3. Providing you can move around between Huge Hangar ships, when does this happen
A). At the beginning of the campaign turn, before fights are selected
B). During the turn, after you know what fights have been generated
C). During the turn, but the ships doing the transfering are completely unavailable this turn
D). At the end of the campaign turn, after all fights are resolved
E). What, you're under some impression that these things are like fighters? Observe closely: Raider != Auxiliary Craft.

4. In the next fight, the Mothership gets mauled, loses, but gets out of dodge and heads back to fleet command (again.) It upgraded its crew quality, (you still get 1 XP for losing a fight, so it wasn't so bad...) so it wants a few more scouts this time. Can it
A). Refit to hold whatever it wants, what it had before doesn't matter
B). It's more Light Raiders for you, bucko

5. While it's home, does it
A). Automatically refill its Huge Hangars
B). Um ... what, you think you get free refills? This ain't Quizno's.

6. Can a ship with Huge Hangars spend XPs to repair its craft?
A). If you want to spend 'em that way ... Sure! Please!
B). I'd love for you to waste points like that, but, no.

7. And if the Raiders of a ship with Huge Hangars kill something, the experience points go to
A). The Mothership.
B). The individual housed raider, keep track of it
C). The same place your other sock went to

I think the answers are

1. B
2. A
3. C
4. A
5. A
6. A
7. C

But I could be way, way, way wrong here.

EDIT: Hunted through Rulesmasters, and found the answer to 5 is, indeed, A. On the others .. not so much. A few additional questions added.
