2ed - Well Done! But I have questions...

Just got my 2e Rules and Fleet books. I really like the rules changes. The new anti-fighter "compromise" looks like it will play very well. Overall, a very nice job!

Except my rule book (NOT the fleet book) is bound so that the pages are actually crumpled along the binding. Can this be remedied by Mongoose? Could I get a download of the PDF rules or something? Anyway...

Looking at the EA fleet...is the Omega pulse supposed to have 20AD broadsides and only 12AD front? Is the Sagittarius supposed to have 6AD missile broadsides and only 2AD to the front? Is this a plot to redesign the EA Fleet to fight like ships did in the Age of Sail? If so, fine...I am just checking to make sure it is not a misprint.

Send the books back to Mongoose for replacement. Email msprange@mongoosepublishing.com or sales@mongoosepublishing.com. Looks like you got one of the "first 50", which seems to be much more than 50!

Yes the Pulse Omega and Sag are supposed to have stronger broadsides then their front and aft.

.

Have to say mine is the same. I do wonder if Im going mad, or adjusting or if its got less crumpled since I started reading it. It seems solid enough at the moment and it doesnt really seem to affect reading the book....although obviously if it gives way I'll revise that view.

The Earth Alliance ships were always supposed to be more capable in their broadside, baring ofcourse the boresight beam. If you look back at the Nova you'll see the same type of weapons distibution as you now get in the Omega and Saggitarius. It also fits in a lot better with the look of the ships, large flat port and starboard hull plates capable of supporting rows of guns, with naval traditions on which they are based and with the images from the show.

Like I was trying to say before, I certainly don't disagree with the change...I just wanted to make sure that it was correct and not a misprint. Thanks for the replies everyone!
