First of all, thanks for releasing this! However... I posted over on Enworld about this, but if the SRD is open, it hasn't actually been designated as open game content anywhere. Is this going to be remedied?

Congrats on the license, and I must say, thank you very much for your intent to make the rules OGC. You all are clearly great supporters of the OGL...and is it deeply appreciated. 8)

I'm not a lawyer either, so take this advice with a grain of salt. The MRQ OGC is released under the OGL, so you have to follow all the usual rules of the OGL. This means you cannot indicate compatibility with Runequest without some special license from Mongoose, and their license, if I recall...

Nothing is on the board at the moment. I have another "secret" project in the works which is unrelated to GORE, so this will take my time for a few months. There have been some inklings that other publishers are thinking of creating supplements for GORE. We'll have to wait and see on that front...

OSRIC uses algorithms from a 1e level based system from the 80s. GORE uses OGC from SRDs released by Mongoose, and algorithms from percentile-based systems from the 80s.
