Just how long is the registration process there ?

Me (as Nyarly) and a friend registered there about two weeks ago. We soon got the automatic E-Mail about our requests for membership being reviewed etc. but nothing happened since then. :?

Both times I registered, it took about 3-4 days for approval.

Also, I'm experiencing problems with the software over there, and I'm not going back until it gets fixed.

ideally, we wouldn't need the approval process at all, but it's a necessary evil to avoid spammers.

Unfortunately I think I may have deleted your registration by mistake (it got mixed in with the spammers), so please try registrering again, and I'll approve you ASAP.

Could you try accessing the forum from a different computer, to see if it's a problem with your computer? You're the only one that has reported this problem.

That would be difficult to do. I've only got the one computer at home to access the forum, and at work, there's no way I can go to that web site. Even if I could, I woudn't want to get caught. My employer is very hard on non-work related internet use.

I'll try something else from home, though, if you've got any ideas.

So if you're using IE8, try switching between standards-compliant mode and compatibility mode and see which one works.

Or perhaps use a different browser such as FF or Chrome.

That sounds like the issue. I'll try to figure out how to change my compatiblity mode and give it a try. Thanks for the input.

What username did you register as? It's sometimes difficult to tell real requests apart from those frickin' spammers! :-(
